Down the left hand edge of this page are lots of links we hope you will find useful. On this page we will be including some of the most important team-specific information to help you prepare for the event.

Urgent: Consent and Other Forms

It is essential that teams send us copies of their forms in advance, and bring the originals with them to the tournament. Forms should be sent to us by Wednesday, November 18th. Additional information and downloadable forms can be found on our forms page
  • Go To Forms Page
  • Please send the copies of the forms in as soon as possible
  • Remember to bring the originals with you on December 5th

You should have already received an email message from us with lots of information

If you haven't received an email from us and believe that you are competing at Rowan, please contact us IMMEDIATELY!!!

Arriving at the University

Team check-in is from 9:15 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Please plan on arriving no earlier than 9:30, or else you'll just be waiting around.

Judging Information

During the teamwork, research, and robot design judging events, each team will be in a room with the judges. Only the team members, one coach, plus an optional person who will film or photograph the team will be allowed in the room

Please bring a hardcopy/printout of your team's computer code with you for the robot design judging. You can bring your laptop to the judging as well, but we would like the judges to be able to see your computer code in hardcopy.

We will probably not be able to provide a laptop for any of the judging rooms. This means that if you would like to show the judges something on a computer, you will need to bring your own laptop.

No Bluetooth!

In order to ensure you don't inadvertantly connect with someone else's robot, please do not use bluetooth devices to communicate with your robot anywhere in the student center. NXT Robot program downloads must be done with a USB cable and not bluetooth.

Bring your friends!

The opening ceremony, robot performance competition, and awards and closing ceremony are all free and open to the public. Be sure to invite lots of supporters to cheer for your team.

FIRST LEGO League Core Values

The FLL Core values are given in the coaches handbook. Please reinforce the importance of these values as your season progresses. Remind the students that judges will be looking for them to display these values at all times during the tournament events, both on and off the playing fields.
  • We are a team.
  • We do the work to find solutions with guidance from our coaches and mentors.
  • We honor the spirit of friendly competition.
  • What we discover is more important than what we win.
  • We share our experiences with others.
  • We display gracious professionalism in everything we do.
  • We have fun.
