Welcome to the R~Quarium!
The New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences (NJAAS) offers a wide variety of classroom lessons on site that are aimed at promoting the understanding, appreciation and protection of aquatic life and habitats through research and education.
NJAAS houses a large 150 gallon salt-water tank with many fish, corals, and live rocks inside. Rowan University Engineering Students were given the task of equipping the fish tank with a control system that is used to monitor many aspects of the fish tank, including temperature, pH, and ORP. The current measurements taken from the fish tank, along with an interactive webcam are shown below at the bottom of this page.

Measurements are taken from the fish tank every hour and the data is archived and available for personal download and also through an interactive plotting tool. Use the left-side navigation bar to get to this tool and to access activities for every age group. We hope you enjoy the website. If you have any questions or comments, please
