Natural Habitat: Clear Lagoons and Seaward Reefs
Comes From: Central and South Pacific Ocean (Christmas Island, Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Tahiti and Hawaii)
Size: Up to 4 inches
Food/Diet: Algae, small invertebrates such as shrimp
Characteristics: Bright Orange-Red in color with a long, vertical black blotch followed by 4 to 5 black long, black bars on the sides. The dorsal fins toward the tail of the fish are black and purple-blue stripes. Very secretive and likes to stay hidden.

Scientific Name: Pseudochromis paccagnellae
Natural Habitat: Coral reefs
Comes From: Western Pacific Ocean (Indonesia)
Size: 2 to 3 inches
Food/Diet: Meaty foods, shrimp, other small worms and invertebrates
Characteristics: The front half of the fish is bright purple and tail half is bright yellow. These fish are known to semi-aggressive and territorial.

Comes From: Western Pacific Ocean (Ryukyu Islands, Japan to Malaysia and Indonesia)
Size: 0.5 to 1 inch (small) or 1 to 1.5 inches (medium), but can grow as big as 5.5 inches
Food/Diet: plants and small invertebrates
Characteristics: Bright Orange-Red to Deep Red in color with one vertical, white stripe just behind the eyes that wraps over the head

Characteristics: Bright Orange-Red to Deep Red or Maroon in color with three vertical, white stripes. One of the biggest clownfish species

Yellow Tang

Comes From: Pacific and Indian Oceans (West of Hawaii and East of Japan)
Size: 6 to 7 inches
Food/Diet: Algae, wild grasses, other plant materials, shrimp and other small animals
Characteristics: Bright yellow during the day, but at night a brown patch and a horizontal white stripe appear on the sides of the fish. Yellow Tangs are shaped like an arrow and have a snout-like mouth that they use to eat algae off of rocks, corals, and sometimes even larger fish and turtles. They also have a sharp spine near their tail.

Comes From: Central Pacific From Hawaii to Australia
Size: Up to 5.5 inches
Food/Diet: Algae
Characteristics: Brown in color with light blue to yellow horizontal stripes all over its body. Toward the head, the stripes turn into spots. The Kole Tang has a yellow circle surrounding its eyes. Its teeth allow the mouth to work like a vacuum to pick up algae.

Characteristics: Bright blue color with black markings and a yellow tail fin. This fish is commonly recognized as it is portrayed as Dory in Disney/ Pixar's Finding Nemo

Characteristics: Blue, green, and/or purple in color. These fish actually have bright red teeth. Vocalizes using a grunting-like sound. Like to hide in holes in coral reefs and live rock.

Size: Arms can reach up to 2 feet long
Food/Diet: fish and small invertebrates (they are scavengers)
Characteristics: Much like a starfish with long, thin legs. The legs are approximately four times as long as the diameter of the round body. They are nocturnal.
