I re-designed the applications model to display the relationship between departments. Applications that are used by other departments are linked to a square box representing the other department.
Applications that are external to the department, but are used by applications internal to the department are represented by a circle with a dotted line. I put arrows on the lines between
applications to show the flow of data. I got access to the Project Tracking System, which the IT department uses, and I entered all my hours so far at Canon.

I completed the applications model today. I spent some time researching Microsoft Messaging Queues and helped another IT intern track down some aircards from employees. I was given my next
assignment, which is to re-design the Project Tracking System. I need to re-implement the CSS and the HTML so the style sheet stretches the entire width of the screen. Dave Genca, who is in charge
of IT, does not like empty space on the page, especially on large conference monitors. Jacob and Jim outlined the basics of what is required and I started to work on it.

I spent the whole day working on the CSS for the Project Tracking System. I made some good progress, as I met almost all the requirements. The page looks good at higher resolutions, but not at
800x600. The main content of the page and a vertical navigation bar on the left side do not want to be positioned next to one another. More time will be needed to adjust the containers. Jacob
likes what I have done so far with the page.

More projects I have worked on in the past were entered in as projects into the Project Tracking System, so I logged my hours in for those projects. I spent more time refining the CSS for the
Project Tracking System. The new style sheet is very close to being complete. The main content of each page now stretches with the browser changing resolution.

Weekly Review
It was a relief to finish the applications model, as that took a lot of time to complete. I am glad that Jim will find this diagram useful in evaluating the applications used in the company.
Hopefully this will be used to determine which applications are not needed and which applications need to be upgraded. Hopefully the model will be updated frequently. There was some down time in
the middle of the week, but I was eventually given another task of re-designing the CSS for the Project Tracking System. My experience from Web Programming at Rowan will be useful, as I need to
change how the containers work on the master style sheet. This was a short week, due to 7/4, but I feel a lot was accomplished.
