A programming course

Grading:

Midterm -- 30%
Final Exam -- 40%
Quizzes -- 10%

Homework Policy:

Late homework (including programs) will be penalized by a 20% deduction in total points. No homework or program will be accepted after it has become more than 5 days late or the solutions have been given out in the class.

Attendance:

You are expected to attend all the classes. If you have to miss a class, send me an e-mail and make sure that you obtain the notes from someone in the class, as you are always responsible for finding out what has happened in the class. A zero grade will be issued if you miss an exam or quiz, unless you inform me beforehand and you can present a documented excuse. Please read University Attendance Policy: <http://www.rowan.edu/provost/policies/documents/AttendancePolicy-classroom_000.pdf>

Withdrawal:

There are three deadlines for withdrawal during the semester. Each deadline further into the semester demands one more signature and is more difficult to get. If you are thinking of withdrawing, timely action is necessary. The university's policy on course withdrawals during the last four weeks of the semester is that a student may withdraw only if there are circumstances beyond his/her control which prevent him/her from completing the course requirements.
